In Marksmanship Team, cadets are instructed in firearms safety and the functions of such equipment. Safety and discipline are stressed as the students learn about the different firing positions and the techniques of sight alignment. Cadets realize very quickly that learning, concentrating, and practicing are the only ways to success in this team.
Our varsity and junior varsity air rifle teams compete in matches every week against different schools for the highest combined team score. Using precharged pneumatic (PCP) air rifles, the four cadets on each team will shoot while standing, kneeling, and prone for a total of thirty shots in each match. Air rifle meets each morning on school days.
