With our amazing battalion comes our amazing instructors. These great people guide all our cadets from when they are a LET 1 all the way up to when the graduate as a LET IV. All of our Instructors have served over 27 years in the Army and have decided to use their retirement to teach JROTC cadets.
Colonel Diane P. Richie is the Senior Army Instructor for Lee/New Century Technology High School JROTC Program. She joined Huntsville City Schools in January 2014 after 28 years of service to her country. COL Richie is married to Colonel Glenn Richie and they have two children, Jessica and Brandon and two grandsons Jayden and Jeremiah.
First Sergeant Duane Yarbrough is a Army Instructor for Lee/New Century Technology High School JROTC Program. He enlisted in the Army in May 1986 and Retired in June 2013. After 27+ years and many travels around the world, his wife, Connie, and him decided to leave the active duty Army. In July 2013 I accepted the JROTC job at Decatur High School and in 2016 accepted the JROTC job at Lee High School.
First Sergeant Larry Jackson is a Army Instructor for Lee/New Century Technology High School JROTC Program. He enlisted in the Army Nov 1985 and retired June 2011 after a very successful career. After retirement he began teaching SROTC at Georgia Military College, Alabama A&M, and currently teaches JROTC at Lee/New Century High School. He and his wife, Jossie, have been married 30 years and have one daughter (Ambrea) 23 years old.
